"I think that Mr. Carper and the scientists... are not really running this camp just for the sake of a fun science camp for smart kids. I think that we're a part of a much bigger project, and we're going to be their puppets. And Ammon is just the start." In the first book of The Elements, Lynna, Bridgette, George, and Ammon are invited to attend a summer camp run by scientists, but are trapped and become test subjects. Ah yes everyone knows that the seniors in Mrs.Dina's Honors science class gets to go on a one week camping trip to Camp rose waters as a yearly study for the jr science theory professions to work together as a team to camp and explore the fascinating sites of mystery. They say the camp is famous for being around since the 1980's and has several rumors about a death accounting in a near by hidden mansion but, the teachers try to denie it. Anyways our main character, Melody Lilac and her five friends are out to discover the mysteries of the mansion and find out if the rumors are true by sneaking out of the camp and using their scientific and scycolagic skills to find out if the rumors are true or not I dont know maybe some romance happens later in the story too but we'll have to wait and see.

Lynna watches, frozen in place, at the snow flurries swirling around in the wind. "This is not good," she mutters. Lynna slowly moves aside and Bridgette takes over by the opening and gasps when she sees the snow falling down rapidly. "We won't be able to get out of here," she says, whirling towards Lynna, who shakes her head. "Who knows what the boys are doing and where they are right now?" Bridgette wonders anxiously aloud. "We can't help them," Lynna says quietly. "Only they can help themselves, just like only we can keep ourselves alive and safe." In the second edition of The Elements, Lynna, Bridgette, George, and Ammon have figured out that each of them can control a different natural element using their own willpower. Now they have an escape plan, but carrying it out is easier said than done. Is it possible for the four kids to find a way to escape from the scientists grasp? Or will they be forced to endure through their evil plan?
