Random snippets of random places and random people. A mother and her son housed in a clearing of forested West Virginia. A girl stuck beneath a glass ceiling. An angry sister.

Mason and Alex are two boys raised as part of an experiment on Mars. Forbidden to do anything other than what the scientists determine, they fall in love and must keep it hidden to avoid termination. With their limited romance, they plan to escape on a returning rocket to Earth. Will they make it, or will their love be their downfall?

"I'm not a huge fan of people... They talk too much. They pretend, and they lie. They hurt, and betray. I should know because everyone has their limits, and I just went over mine." Arlene was the one of the the thousands of children to be a test subject built to be the most perfect killing soldier. As years went by, countless failed experiments resulted into unwanted side effects, including death for some. She was the only person to survive. She escaped the lab facility after ten years in imprisonment. Now on the run, Arlene just wants to have the fun childhood she was never able to grasp, but has to face the obstacles of the world she has yet to see.
