Keely was the first of her kind. Attractive, insatiable, a beauty haunting of an other worldly charm. Her brilliant eyes of seduction hid within them the slitted elegance of an alien intrusion. Sipping into her DNA, twisting her insides into the birth of a new creature. A demonic being centuries old. Her only cause is to repopulate her alien host. To consume the world into her inner blackness and assimilate the human race into slavery. But what about the human side? The absurdity of love and devotion. The aching of the human heart. Falling in love with her prey was not the plan. Her mission of anguish now became her inward torment. To follow love or to break away into the dark brooding of her final purpose. What will she choose in the end? To follow the darkness that has taken her over, or to surrender to the longings of humanity hidden still silently within her.

"Self-destructive" is the label commonly attached by armchair pop psychologists to tragic figures like Eden Grey, the emo, nervy, unruly and viciously talented British jazz-soul singer who winds up dead by the sixth book, aged just 26, from the cumulative effects of substance abuse. That term only tells half the story, however, in Aaliyah's factually exhaustive, emotionally exhausting series "Batshit," which calmly identifies multiple collaborators - some with intentions better than others - in the Grey sisters' demise. Hardly innovative in form, but boasting the same depth of feeling and breadth of archival material that made Asif Kapadia's "Amy" film so rewarding, this lengthy but immersive portrait will hit hard with viewers who regard Eden among the great lost voices not just of a generation, but of an entire musical genre. Enduring local fascination ensures soaring returns when "Deranged: A Batshit Story" arrives in Blighty this summer; across the pond, Aaliyah should find success in a lower key. Madyson Grey, however, is unfortunately caught up in a "Mean Girls" and Kardashians like lifestyle, completely unintentionally.

Awaken. Complete The Task. Recharge. Repeat. Leah and Lola Roberts were born into a home that didn't want them. The very moment they came into the world that should've shown them the same kindness almost any other person would show them, they were sold illegally. Sold to cruel engineers and scientists who wanted nothing more then to see the world evolve. Evolve into one filled with flying cars and robots controlling every aspect of society. Though, the rest of society wasn't too happy with the idea of emotionless shells selling them their produce and meats. That is where the HCC comes in. Hidden Circuits Corporation. 'Robots' that look completely human, and can feel any emotion a human can. It's hard to even tell that they aren't human... Or are they? The case is different for Leah. She and her sister were the 'prototypes.' They don't look human like the others. Wires hang out of their metallic limbs, rather than artificial skin hiding it. They are the ones truly hiding their 'circuits'. All Leah can ever desire is freedom, or at least to have her older sister back to the way she once was. To be the way she once was. Anthony Tieran, the son of a engineer, and following in the footsteps of those before him., and caring for his younger sister, Utah, and teaching his apprentice, Piper in the process. He's always been one to appreciate the company of the machines that surround him more than living, breathing humans. He's always believed he'd always be in his workshop, tinkering with different things, or teaching Utah and Piper. That's when 'Iolanthe' stumbles into his shop one night... A purple haired, mutilated creation, with the initials of the HCC burned into her back. With one arm and both of her legs that are robotic, broken with wires hanging out, and part of her face torn away and replaced with metal and some horrible excuse for an eye, he's complete uprooted from what he could ever believe would be a normal life.
