My friend has been living in an alternate reality for the past 7 years and this is what he told me.

In the small Maine town of Clear Point, a massive sinkhole of unknown origin and depth opened, swallowing the town whole. The event made news around the world in less than twenty-four hours. Soon enough, a special team of researchers led by one Michael L. Hawthorne are sent to explore the hole, now dubbed 'Larme Noire'.

Irene was just a normal passenger, going about her journey as one would. That is, until something causes her number to deactivate at 51. Now, she has to continue wondering the train endlessly in search of why or how her number went off in the first place.
