The Galactic Empire is in control of the galaxy's trade routes, but it doesn't stop hundreds of smugglers from keeping their secret black market alive. Two of these smugglers are former Jedi, trying to earn a living without being discovered by the Empire. Both Haeleigh and Annika know what they've gotten themselves into, and neither is willing to quit. Smuggling has allowed them to maintain a low profile and work against the Empire, which gives the close friends the hope of one day defeating the Empire. Unfortunately, the time for rebellion has not come yet. So, when Imperial warships unexpectedly arrive at Kessel, Haeleigh and Annika must make a daring escape; one which could end in an untimely demise if not done correctly. It was a Friday like any other. The office looked as bleak as ever, the coworkers were as tired as was to be expected. It was the last day of an exhausting work week. But then something happened, something that turned a boring day at the office into a science fiction adventure.

At the edge of the Galaxy lies a planet of vast resources and technology unknown to the humankind, but there are others who grow hungry in the void, and seek to claim the planet of Lalat as their own. In the dark of night, the invasion comes, destroying the world of so many, and leaving the few who remain to partner with the scattered remnants of Earth on a planet called Yola by some, New Atlantis by others. In the chaos that follows, one man will rise to dominate them all, and in the ruins of the once mighty human and Lalatian societies, two teens whose legacies are tied to the history of both worlds must unite in order to save them all.
