What if the only way to save yourself from pain was to kill the part of you that feels it? Stefano and Andrea invented the Cluster: a revolutionary technology capable of mapping and materializing unwanted emotional responses. To eliminate them, there is only one way: face them in a lucid limbo and kill them. It works. The memories remain, the pain vanishes. But every extraction leaves a shadow, an insatiable thirst that no water can quench. When the powerful Haeris corporation, founded by Shia Kestrel, requisitions their project for a space colonization mission under the leadership of Vera, a French ex-soldier, the happiness algorithm becomes a tool for bio-medical control. To eradicate human fragility, Haeris is ready for anything. Within the isolated walls of the Chesterfield military base, science turns into horror. Vera must face the trauma of abandoning her daughter. While Stefano slips into blind obsession, going so far as to map love itself to tear it from his chest, Andrea falls in love with Alessia-an unstable test subject in whom the extractions have awakened something distorted. A Parasitic Cluster: an alternative identity, violent and unpredictable. In a hall of mirrors featuring obsessive phobias, neural viruses that punish strong emotions, and passions born on the edge of the abyss, love is no longer a salvation. It is the anomaly that can break the game of control. Or condemn them all.

On the surface, Acheron-4 is dead. Beneath it... something is waiting. When Hunter and Jax descend into the vast underground network known only as The Spine, they expect darkness, isolation, and the unknown. What they find is far worse-a living structure that watches, listens... and learns. Shadows move where light should be safe. Whispers echo inside sealed helmets. And something ancient is reaching out-through the dark, through the mind... through them. As their mission unravels, the truth behind SolGen's operations begins to surface: classified experiments, buried failures, and a threat that was never meant to be contained. But The Spine doesn't just kill. It changes you. With oxygen running thin and reality slipping, Hunter must make an impossible choice: trust the system that sent them... or the man slowly becoming something else.

Across the world, certainty begins to fail. Scientists argue. Governments conceal. Faith gathers. And above them all, the sky remains open. Silent. Beautiful. Watching.

(WINNER!!! ☺️☺️of the Wattpad Sci-fi Competition and Challenges August 2020: Smile) A short story of a thousand words about a man who was obsessed with the stars. This is my entry for the ScienceFiction contest here on Wattpad. It is the first time I'm writing a short story after so many months spent laboring over a book that still hasn't surfaced. I haven't written a lot of stuff, but I still like to think I can put a sentence or two together. The story is science-fiction and arises from an image prompt of a galaxy cluster positioned in such a way that it looks like a face that's smiling (see the media attached to the story). It got my otaku mind thinking, and in a few minutes of thoughtful brooding, I came up with this idea. After fleshing it out, I started writing it. It feels really good to actually write again, no matter how it came out. I've been in the throes of self-doubt for a long, long time; so long that I stopped critiquing stories (if I can't write them, who am I to criticize them?) and ultimately stopped reading. So I'm hoping that with this story, I might actually have broken through that wall. I might finally finish that book. (Though it's more like start) So here you go. Welcome to my scribbles. Don't forget to tell me what you think, as you think. The inline comment feature was created for a reason. Let me know what part deserves praise and what parts require close attention. Let's grow our writing skills together. We are ONE. [Wattpad Sci-fi Competition and Challenges entry - August 2020: Smile]

With his team dead, his reputation tarnished, and his mental health deteriorating, he seriously begins to wonder if there's anything left for him to live for. Then his commander comes to him with an awkward assignment: an isolated communications relay has just sent out a distress call and communications in the region have gone dark. With no one else able to take the job, Allan is put in charge of another Investigation Squad that just lost their Sergeant. When they head out to begin their investigation, they encounter an unspeakable, seemingly invincible evil. Now, Allan must do whatever it takes to stop this evil from completing its own dark agenda...

In a world where extreme emotion can twist the human body into something monstrous, society survives through suppression. Every citizen is medicated from puberty onward, forced into a numb and carefully controlled existence where feeling too much can leave you dead... or permanently changed. The survivors are called the Bent. The government calls them Response Class Subjects. He refuses to live numb. When he meets a girl just as afraid of her emotions as he is addicted to his, the two are pulled into a dangerous relationship that forces them to confront everything society has taught them to suppress. But in a world where love itself can trigger violent biological adaptation, even the smallest emotional spark can become catastrophic. As bodies warp, people disappear, and the government tightens its grip, one horrifying truth begins to emerge: humanity's mutations may not be a disease at all. They may be evolution.

They called us pests. We built cities. They came to exterminate. Earth was never ours. We were just squatters in a forgotten lab. Now the real owners are back-tall, silent, perfect... and they think we're cockroaches. But what do roaches do best? We hide. We adapt. We outlive. I was born in a vent. I don't have a name. But I remember. And that makes me dangerous. A post-apocalyptic alien horror from the floorboards of humanity. If you liked War of the Worlds and District 9, this one will crawl under your skin. They came to reclaim the planet. We were never supposed to be here. To them, we're vermin - scuttling heat signatures hiding in vents, carving out lives in the cracks of their perfect world. But you can't kill what adapts. You can't reason with what remembers. My name is Maris. I was born in the walls. And I will not die quiet. A sci-fi survival horror for fans of "The Last of Us" and "District 9."

In an age where corporations rule supreme and civilization at large is primarily concerned with the Unreal Tournaments, it's easy to forget that research outposts are still necessary. Turn up the volume. Ignore the screaming. It's October 1994 in Oakhaven, Washington-a fog-drenched logging town cut off from the world by endless pines and a restless ocean. The rain never stops, the flannel is worn thin, and the radio is king. Fourteen-year-old Leo spends his nights scanning dead frequencies, searching for a sign of his father, who vanished three years ago. Instead, he finds The Resonance-a frequency that shouldn't exist. A low, invasive hum that bleeds through cassette tapes and car stereos, dragging the past into the present. At first, it's just numbers. Then the hallucinations begin. Buildings that burned down decades ago flicker back into existence. Gravity reverses in the dead of night. And the town's missing residents return as Echoes-static-charged glitches in reality that burn anything they touch. When a shadowy government contractor seals off Oakhaven under the guise of a chemical spill, Leo and a small group of outcasts-including his grunge-mechanic brother Silas and the fiercely skeptical Maya-must bike into the exclusion zone to stop the signal. But the hum is getting louder. The static is getting hungry. And the voice calling from the tower sounds exactly like Leo. A haunting 90s sci-fi thriller about grief, brotherhood, and the danger of never letting go- where some signals aren't meant to be answered.
