My story about living and coping with scoliosis and scoliosis surgery

Having surgery is rough, no one is denying that. But, somehow, it seems a bit easier to deal with when your best friend has to go through it on the same day as you. (Part 2ish of my Voltron Hospital AU) (Follow-up to "Coincidences") (Hunk x Pidge x Lance) (Matt x Luis)

We all face battles in life. Some face social battles, while others may face medical battles. Everyone faces the daily battles that shape them as a person and change them, moulding them into people they were meant to be. This is the battle of a pre-teen girl, Siena, who struggles with a medical problem that many teens face-scoliosis. As she navigates her way through middle school, she meets new people and overcomes obstacles she never though she would be facing in the first place

"Why me?!"...she would say to herself constantly at age eleven and on. Scoliosis is tough and going through it feeling alone is even worse. Rosalinda in this story goes through it, and more challenges along her way. See her life unfold from the beginning... to how she is doing now.

February 19, 2010. The day the then 14 year old girl Alexandra Wills was diagnosed with scoliosis, a curvature of the spine. March 4, 2010. Alexandra Wills got a back brace, and became stressed and depressed. June 23, 2010. The day she found out about One Direction. The day she became stressed, depressed, and boyband obsessed. August 11, 2011. Alexandra is 15! Yay! For her birthday, she got a hug and 5 dollars. March 28, 2012. Alexandra was told she needed Scoliosis Surgery. October 13. 2013. One month before Alexandra's surgery. Also, the day she sent a tweet to Harry Styles. October 14, 2013. The day her life changed. Alexandra Wills is your almost average teenage girl. She is a 17 year old living in the suburbs of New Jersey. Nice house, 2 brothers, amazing friends, 2 parents, and a terrible back. Over the past 3 years, she has been suffering from really bad scoliosis. She is broken, but nobody knows. She turns to One Direction to ease the pain. When she is one month away from the surgery, she decided to send a tweet to Harry Styles, thanking him for what he has done. What happens when Harry reads the tweet? Does he pay Alexandra a surprise visit? Is he willing to help Alexandra start Over Again?

Hi everyone I'm Sarah and I have scoliosis. I have so many feelings inside and questions. So if you can answer them please do. Scoliosis runs in the family but mine is most severe. I'm going to have to get surgery and if you can give me positive feedback I would appreciate it. Hope you enjoy!

Hello. My name is Ellie and I am just your typical 14 (almost 15) year old teenager. Well, with one exception; I have a spinal disorder called scoliosis. Scoliosis is when your spine is crooked and curved, instead of being straight. It sounds painful, doesn't it? Well, it isn't that bad... Actually scratch that... It affects every hour, minute and second of my life. I have to deal with back pains constantly and for 23 hours each day, I have to wear a back brace. It is horrible but I have learnt to get on with my life. So, I thought I would share my story with you. I hope it opens your eyes to the thousands of people dealing with scoliosis each day.
