Tensions were higher than ever. The mountain school: attacked-leaving one student dead and the rest of the gang with a lot more questions and heartache. For better or for worse, answers wouldn't be found at Jade Mountain Academy. Scorch, on the other talon, thought a jaunty trip out of class would be just what he needed. Fresh air, beautiful scenery; everything a strong, independent, handsome SkyWing could ever want. The only issue is that he invited himself on the mission to track down and stop the strange school attackers, and he can still feel his new 'friends'' suspicious gazes burning into the back of his head. With an unrealized secret that could very well be his undoing, Scorch isn't sure if he can pick up the gang's slack, hide his true power, escape his family, his past mistakes, and lead everyone to victory over the mysterious attackers all at the same time. Good looks and a deep reserve of charming charisma can only take a dragon so far, after all-and without that, Scorch figures he might as well go home to a tribe that would never accept him. (Minor content warning of infrequent blood, violence, and suggestive themes.)
