Frankie is tossed up into a horrid world full of surprises, suffering, and hardships just like the boys before her had been. In the 2 1/2 years she's been in the glade she has become a runner and fallen in love with the second-in-command boy named Newt. The box brings another greenie up. But this time, he's not quite like the others. He wants answers and is willing to do whatever it takes to get them.
