When Newt, Minho, Thomas, and the others escaped WICKED and stumbled into Brenda and Jorge's hideout, they expected resistance. They didn't expect him. There was a third figure leaning against the far wall, half-shadowed, arms crossed like he'd been waiting to decide whether they were worth the trouble. Alexander the Great, Brenda called him once - sarcastic, of course. But everyone else just knew him as Alex. He didn't look impressed. Didn't look afraid either. Just watched them carefully, like he was already calculating who would survive.

this takes place in the maze runner MOVIES (starting in scorch trails), I know quite little of what happened in the book so there might be a few details from there but barely any. Newt x reader set where something's are made up, like y/n's condition with the flare. characters and actual story do NOT belong to me, I am just writing a fan fiction for it while adding my own perks.
