Courtesan of the Hill is a short story and historical-y fiction that my friend and I started for fun since we both loved writing as kids. Any chapter written by me will end with "-Free", and any by my friend will end with "-Friend". It follows two concubines in the imperial court, both trying to gain favor with the emperor for different reasons and both with wildly different outlooks on life. Who will win, and who will lose it all?
