When Scott finds out that Derek has added a member to the pack, he can't believe it. When he discovers who it is, even worse. As Scott becomes closer to Isaac, feelings develop and the lines blur, making everything just seem so confused.

The Hale pack have found light in the pits of black that seem to surround them. Long since abandoned the lone wolf act, Derek has finally allowed himself to be happy as he guides his increasing pack members. One night in Beacon Hills, California, Derek is killed by hunters right in front of Stiles, with the police not doing anything to figure out what happened, that leaves Stiles to have to hunt down Derek's killer, all while still grieving him.
