I'm also Mel. Just Mel. I was created years ago, only forced from my memory by HYDRA. I resurfaced, gaining S.H.I.E.L.D.'s attention, which was mainly because of my 'gift' as Melony Vandenberg, the latest HYDRA leader, put it. My so-called 'gift' is the power to re-write my cellular structure to mimic and copy any animals cells, meaning that I can shapeshift into any number of known animals. The only problem is, I have no idea who I was, where I came from or who my family is. There are only three people who may know of my past. One leads HYDRA. One leads S.H.I.E.L.D. One is James Buchanan Barnes.

Book 2 of the Golden Sunshine series. "Stay down." I instructed Nat as I stood up just to see the soldier throw Steve over a car. "I mean it." I repeated as I ran towards the soldier. I kicked the soldier behind his leg, making him stumble before I adapted the classic black widow move, pinning him between my thighs and hitting his head. I kept hitting as he stood up, slamming me down on a vehicle, his cold metal arm putting pressure on my neck. I tightened my thighs around him as I started to splutter for air, my hand running up his arm. My fingers found an open spot on the ridge of his arm and I sent a little zap of energy through it and he flinched, taking his hand off. I kicked him in the head and he stumbled away. He shook his head before charging again but Steve attacked him from behind, giving me time to catch my breath. They both exchanged punches, until Steve flipped him over, causing his mask to fall off. He's back on his feet in a few seconds, pausing and obviously pissed before turning to us causing us to falter. "Bucky...?"
