"Professor there are two kids fighting at the pool." Rogue , one of my students, said softly. "Thank you for telling me." I said with a smile. "What is going on?" I asked as I made it to the pool and saw Bobby and John fighting. "He started it." John growled out. "Well I'm finishing it, class now or I will send you to the Professor's office." I ordered. "Yes Professor." Bobby said as he walked away. I smiled as I shook my head and walked to my class. "Mom!" A voice yelled. I smiled as I turned to see my five year old daughter run up to me. "Hello Sweetheart, what are you up to?" I asked as I picked her up. "Running from papa." She said with a giggle. I smiled as I saw my husband of twenty years walking towards us.

Amberle Foster has been in attendance at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters since her mutation made itself known. While she has always remained in the background of the growing academy, the recent defeat of Apocalypse has brought certain students to the fore front of attention. One of whom is a boy with lasers for eyes, Scott Summers. While Amberle must wear gloves to keep her abilities from non-consensually working on others, Scott faces a similar dilemma- he must wear specially crafted glasses to keep from blowing things up. Mutants are perceived as monsters by humans. They torture them, exploit them and make their lives a living hell. So many have to endure this until they find their safe haven. For Sage, as well as dozens of others, Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters is that safe haven. There they can be themselves without being judged for it and learn to control their powers as well as fighting their past trauma. Everyone can get a second chance, no matter the wrong they've done. That's the reason why Professor X decided to welcome two of Apocalypse former horsemen to his school.
