Dýo was one of the four masked lords at the court of Alagadda, infatuated with a court doctor who never even glanced at him. Once exiled to earth, he becomes obsessed with a certain plague doctor he met by chance in Bosnia. Unfortunately, obsession isn't always pure love, just as disappointments can make you fall in love with someone who isn't who you expect them to be.
