At first it seems like coincidence and eerie humor, but gradually the characters realize something unnatural is watching them... remembering them... and rewriting reality around them. The horror is not just ghosts or monsters. It is something that exists inside memories, sounds, and written words. And once it notices you... it never forgets.

This is an ongoing passion project to write my own "2000's Barbie film" inspired screenplay, which I started back in October 2024. The story it's taking from is "Cannetella," about a princess who refuses to marry, makes an impossible ask of her father, and needs to be saved from the sorcerer who exploited that opportunity. It's a darker story, so I'd recommend it for older audiences. I challenged myself to write a version that was more available to modern audiences and adapting it into a Barbie story just sounded "correct."
