For centuries, thousands of supernatural beings lay dormant, their existence reduced to mere folklore and urban legend.
Through the practice of dark magic, a few managed to temporarily break free from the curse but eventually succumbed to the darkness. Most were deemed witches by humans and murdered savagely. The enchantress Madam Creirwy, daughter of the very powerful enchantress Cerridwen, had cast the spell to keep all shapeshifters and supernatural beings dormant. However, after her unexpected passing the spell was lifted, her daughter and followers attempted to recreate the spell but all failed. The world transformed into what humans had believed was only found in fantasy books, and they quickly became the minority.
Many centuries passed, and among the Enchanters, a descendant of the powerful enchantress Cerridwen was born-a little girl. It was said that her eyes held the vastness of the universe, like her ancestor, the one who could reinstate the dormant status of supernaturals.
"Alpha," the man bowed deeply before his leader.
"A child has been born among the Enchanters-"
The King interrupted his messenger. "How does it concern us?" His voice remained detached as he continued sorting through his paperwork, eyes never meeting the messenger. "There are rumors of a prophecy-a Enchantress with the blood of the Devil herself." The King looked at the messenger whose eyes were widened with fear, but the King was not amused by the fear driven rumors amongst his people. "Nonsense!" he boomed, suddenly annoyed. "That bloodline was eradicated fifty years ago. Now, leave my office!"
"Sir-her eyes are said to hold the universe." He bravely challenged his Alpha, his voice quivering.
The King suddenly sat upright, swallowing hard as he remembered the She-Devils eyes, the one who swore to end his family's reign.
