Fourtheen-year-old Judith-Elliott (aka Elliott) finds out that they have the ability to turn into a sanderling and almost immediately gets sent to an international school at the Belgian coast, for folks from near and far that can also turn into animals, named Woodwalkers. Elio has a tough time navigating their school life as their only friend, a catshark from Japan, suffers of a language barrier and micromonitoring parents and an angelshark from France goes out of her way to make both of their life a living Hell. Still, Elio keeps up a somewhat optimistic attitude, trying to do the best they can do. Aside from a messy home situation and a difficult school life, Elio also finds out about multiple crimes around Blankenberge all tie back to a specific drug deal and they attempt to put a face to the name of whoever is behind this. And speaking of Blankenberge, what does the lighthouse have to do with all of this?

Our oceans are being emptied from sea life as we speak, yet here we are sitting and ignoring the problem like it will disappear by itself. It won't. It is our responsibility to save our oceans and have respect for our fellow inhabitants. Believe it or not, we are not the only ones living on this Earth and we are not so special that we can empty our precious oceans from life as we know it. Humans have caused enough damage and it is time for the new generation to take the reigns and bring life back to our oceans!

A young woman named Noname was a college student at MUI, a Marine University at the town of Islamorada, Florida. She studies marine biology and excels in every class. She loves the beach, but she also loves the life on the ocean as she cares for it too. Although, she wondered that what if there's more of it out there. Then one day, while coming into one of the grottos near the beach, Noname hears a voice. And as she went to investigate, what she finds is not what she was expecting... A merfolk...! After she saved the merfolk named Zef, she befriended him as he gave her a new name: Clemmie. Later, she then meets another merfolk named Serafin and then gets involved as she learns about other merfolk being captured by a man named Mr. Wood who hunts them for revenge as his grief drove him into a blind rage.
