Mermaids? They were so unbelievably unreal. They were a myth. A kids story. A story to scare people. A fantasy. Reggie is just another average guy from the city's coastline, going about his business as usual. Going to work and purchasing groceries and other necessities. He was never one to stand out in a crowd. Reggie, like the rest of the city, could never get himself to accept the seamen's tales about the mermaids. Also known as the 'killers of the ocean.' But that all changed for him one day when he managed to meet eyes with one. A real life mermaid. He was the first to see one, the first to be trusted by one, the first to form friendships with one, and even the first to fall in love with one. What happens when their adventure leads to genuine love? Find out. CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: - swearing - some violence - lol gay stuff - fluff because we love that

I wish to dedicate this poem to my husband, George. A/N - I composed this biographical ballad style poem for my husband for this recent Valentine's Day but the demands on my time as his full time caregiver prevented me from finishing it on time. However, it is only a few days late. Whew! I just read it to him for critiquing and am happy that it earned his approval. Feb. 20, 2016 ~ Gail

The last express train of the day departs on a balmy autumnal evening . Detective Ayala is in one of the cabins. A discreet man heading towards Moonvelt. A town hidden between cliffs, fog and a bloody legend he promised to unmask as his final case. He is drawned into a land filled with a seafaring vibe and a salty aroma that melts with the bittersweet perfume of the beverages from the tabern. Little does he know, that this spirited scene hides an obscure world of intrigue, mortal danger and stories buried between the waves. Will it be a good idea to dig up the story that has been sealed for ages, or would it be better if it remained hidden under the depths of such haunted waters?
