Feelings are arising in season 18! New love interests, returns of co-workers and more!

The boys from South Park decide to create a start-up company funded through Kickstarter so that they never have to work again. In the process of deciding on a name, they realize that the Washington Redskins football team have lost their trademark[1] to the name due to it being considered by some as offensive to Native Americans, so they decide to use that name for their company. The new company receives enough money that the boys running it can live luxuriously without doing any work until the football team destroys Kickstarter during a raid.

The episode lampoons several trends in theautomotive industry including ride-share apps such asUber and Lyft, Matthew McConaughey's celebrity endorsement of Lincoln, and Tesla Motors, culminating in a Wacky Races-style marathon. The episode does not feature any appearance by the four main characters of South Park: Stan, Kyle, Cartmanand Kenny.

It is the second part of the two-part season finale which began with the previous episode, "#REHASH". The episode makes multiple references of earlier episodes over the season as well as previous seasons while mainly lampooning the trend of culture constantly making trending topics with no actual relevance. It also lampoons news events of the death of Eric Garner, the shooting of Michael Brown, the sexual assault allegations against Bill Cosby, and the use of celebrity holograms. YouTube celebrityPewDiePie appeared as himself, continuing his story line from the previous episode.

The episode lampoons the popularity of freemium mobile apps and links them to other addictions, including alcohol and gambling, and their possible genetic predisposition.

Stan is searching for answers about how a person who he’s always known to be one thing could suddenly identify with another. In the meantime, the pressure of holding on to a giant secret is starting to get to Randy.

For this fic, I kept the main parts of season 18 canon the same, and the main change is the Bishop-leaking documents storyline. So, other aspects of the finale like with Gibbs and his boat, and Ellie being trained by Odette is the same but I tried to make the storyline more true to her character and also added my own interpretations of what happened in prior events. I don't know how many parts there are going to be or when I will post each one, so thank you for your patience and I will upload new chapters as soon as I finish them. This whole story is just a perspective I have of a possible alternate plot point for the S18 finale that I hope feels more in character and is enjoyable. Also, there will of course be plenty of Ellick! :) Quick Summary/Introduction: Classified documents have been leaked from the NSA and all signs point to Ellie Bishop. However, she is not at all responsible as it goes against everything she is and believes in. So the question remains, who actually released the intel and why would they frame Ellie? And what is going on with Nick that he isn't sharing with her? They might be able to finally express to each other their true feelings and have a chance at a future together, or Bishop will be punished for a crime she didn't commit and never be able to return to her life as an NCIS special agent.

Kenny excels at playing the game, Magic: The Gathering. He has the boys’ full attention until a new, hard-core activity gets in the way. When Wendy tries to get Stan to pay attention to what she’s doing, she realizes that what he does with his guy friends always comes first.

The episode lampoons the popularity of Internet Let's Play celebrities and the trend of culture constantly making trending topics with no actual relevance. The episode also referenced and intertwined multiple elements from previous episodes in the eighteenth season of South Park. YouTubecelebrity PewDiePie played himself in this episode.
