Historical ChickLit The Fairmont daughters have always loved adventures, scenic landscapes, stories, art and music. Now that they are of age to marry it is the strongest desire of Mr. and Mrs. Fairmont that they learn about matters of the heart . The eldest Julia found love in Edward Farthing but has been ripped from her arms due to the Fairmont family moving back to England from Australia. Lillian, Claire and Rose on the other hand find more love and joy in their various talents. Although they protest in finding a suitable companion, it is the girls "seasonal spot" that allows them to learn the various shades of love through each of its temperate seasons.
