this is my reflective piece where I am trying to figure out my own feelings about what season I like ? this is my first time writing so I hope you all appreciate it ♡

Winter used to feel warm. For Edurne, it was a season filled with family, laughter, and cherished memories. But as the years pass and life becomes consumed by expectations, loss, and loneliness, the warmth she once knew begins to fade. When an unexpected friendship enters her life, Edurne slowly begins to confront old wounds, fractured family relationships, and the question she has spent years avoiding: What does happiness mean when you've spent your whole life living for everyone else?

As the seasons pass in 1990s Taipei, a two-decade-old family-run braised food shop faces its greatest challenge as patriarch Mr Lin begins to lose his memory. Lin Chun-sheng, the restless daughter, yearns to pursue her studies abroad. Yao En-hsia, the young apprentice, puts his ambitions on hold to inherit what isn't his. Chiu Mei-hsien, the longsuffering mother, juggles the shop and her husband's declining memory as she becomes a full-time caretaker. Lin Dong-yong, the patriarch, struggles against the tide of oblivion that is slowly dragging him under. Spring, summer, autumn and winter intertwine, weaving a tapestry of time and family bonds, amidst the four seasons of Taipei.

In What Weather is it Today?, memories don't arrive clearly-they drift in fragments. Through shifting skies and changing forecasts, two lives slowly unfold in reverse, in pieces, in moments that don't always make sense until it's too late to hold onto them. She remembers him in storms she can't explain. He forgets her in sunlight that feels too bright to look at directly. And somewhere between forecasts and silence, between weather reports and emotional aftermath, they keep missing each other in ways that feel almost intentional. Because maybe love, like weather, was never meant to stay the same. It changes. It passes. It returns when you least expect it. And sometimes, the hardest part isn't remembering what happened- It's realizing the weather never really changed at all.
