Alex and Starley's journey continues through 'Our Forbidden Love 2'. Starley is part of Oceanum Villa's Government. Between meetings with the Government, all the mysteries and cases she has to solve as part of her new job, spending time with Alex and her family, trying to keep her performance up due to a disgusting revelation and running the newly introduced Scout School her timetable is completely full to the brim. When someone leaves her with trauma for the rest of her life, she has to hope that the time she hadn't been spending with Alex didn't impact the love he has for her. Alex has only just found out that he's actually half merfolk and his true mother is on the Government with his girlfriend. With his head still trying to get around that as well as the fact that his twin is now missing from Oceanum Villa's jail and is now loose in the community, Starley and himself have to journey across the ocean to Kiwi Civitatem and turn him full merfolk. When someone from Alex's old life returns and traumatises Starley, he's the one who has to make everything right even though it wasn't his fault to begin with.
