This piece was originally written for a competition, and as I feel it is a good premise for a longer piece, I will put up additonal pieces to add to the whole.

I always felt as if something was different, that there was something my mom wasn't telling me. Then it happened. My mother had a gun in one hand, and me in the other. Since then, I moved from orphanage to orphanage, keeping my mothers last free words in the back of my mind, "Don't stop moving. This world isn't safe for you Chase". So I did just that, I kept moving. That all changed when three strangers broke into my current housing situation, roughed up a small army, and then transported me to a world far removed from Earth. Oh, did I mention that they were using magic, because they were.
