    A tale of two young girls, Kristina and Violet live two vastly different lives. Kristina a witch who lives in the woods and Violet a young girl who lives an honest life in her Puritan village. The two girls frequently meet in the forest near Violets village. One day though the two are discovered by a girl from the village Violet lives in. Will this girl inform the other villagers of Violets secret? Or will she have mercy on both of their souls? Authors note: This was a small assingment from my creative writing class last semster. I really liked this story because it hits a personal cord within me. So, I decided to touch it up with the revisions my professor gave me and share it here. (cover taken off of Pinterest)

    Death is inevitable, looming over many. In the kingdom of Trenid, death is common, poverty reigning supreme over the scared general public. Even the rich is unable to be free of it, for death claims in many ways. Illness, assassination attempts, and simple accidents overtake many. But perhaps death can help some in the trying times. With a life full of tragedy, death's prescience rarely leaves Alexandra. With her uncle dying, she can expect one decent thing in her life: his fortune. But luck has yet to loom over her as death does, as information pertaining to who will receive the money has yet to be divulged. And what's worse? There is another person up to get the fortune. But no matter how much he insists that he will receive it, she will not let it happen. Luck will loom over her, she is sure of it.

    Tessandale forest has been dubbed "haunted" for as long as I can remember. Whenever I ask about it, people act like they never heard me. I've been researching this place since middle school, but everything I have is conspiracy theories and plain guesses. The people here are hiding something, and I'm going to find out what.
