DelVin_na
SYNOPSIS
"Why do you look at me like that?"
Vincent's voice was calm, but his gaze lingered on me.
I turned slowly. He stood a few steps away, hands in his pockets, eyes dark and unreadable. The room felt smaller with him in it.
"Like what?" I asked calmly.
"Like you're trying to see through me," he said, pointing at his chest. "Like you think there's something good hiding here."
My heart skipped. "Isn't there?"
For a moment, Vincent said nothing. His jaw tightened, his gaze hardening, not anger, but something I couldn't explain.
"You shouldn't believe that," he said quietly. "People like me don't have light, Violet. We have shadows. And they ruin anyone who gets too close."
---
Violet was just an ordinary girl so ordinary that the world barely noticed her.
Raised in an orphanage with no trace of her parents, life had never been fair to her. Yet she never complained or blamed anyone. She believed everything happened for a reason. She believed that every person carried a light inside them, even those who hid behind anger and walls.
Violet saw the world differently. To her, it wasn't cruel. People weren't bad but just misunderstood.
But then she met Vincent.
A powerful billionaire with a dangerous world and a controlling grip. To him, Violet was fragile, unfamiliar and once she entered his life, he had no intention of letting her go easily even if their meeting was nothing but an accident.
Some meetings are accidents. Some change everything.
