Think about all the mistakes you've ever made. They all have consequences, and, some harder to face. This short story was written in a second person point of view to help you imagine some of the tougher consequences you could be facing.

You are dragged away from the comfort of the ones you hold close, and shoved into the home of Morgan and Duane Jones. The time you spend with them is comfortable, however, it all changes when you and the Jones stumble upon a man oblivious to the apocalypse that is occurring. You, Vanessa, are gearing up for your final year of high school. College applications, endless homework, family problems, and friend drama are all on the horizon. However, a chance meeting makes your life a little more interesting: a blonde transfer who talks as little as possible. While your friends are cautious about getting to know him, you have no trouble climbing the walls to find out more about him. Problems seemingly start to arise as soon as you do, and the question your close friends start to ask you becomes more and more prevalent: Is getting to know Lucas worth it?
