Paulo and Maya were the BSIT "dream team," bonded by a freshman theater play and a shared love for C++. But real life doesn't follow a script. ​Knowing Maya's partner controlled her every move, Paulo chose a painful, silent respect. He became a ghost, ignoring her in the computer lab to keep her safe from drama. He watched her struggle with pointers and logic from across the room, never reaching out. even when he saw her crying in the middle of a crowded hallway after her breakup. ​Now, a semester later, they aren't classmates anymore. But as they cross paths at a campus food stall, Paulo still carries a silver sunflower necklace at the bottom of his bag, a piece of "old code" he's still too afraid to run.

After the trials and tribulations of her first semester, Suzy was positive her second semester would be a piece of pie in comparison. However, when her first week back is filled with hopeless crushes, stress inducing assignments, freezing weather, a blackout and a tablespoon of that good ol' reliable anxiety, Suzanne realizes that college will never be easy.
