Sylvia's second year at Hogwarts is marked by fear, suspicion, and the reopening of the Chamber of Secrets. As students are petrified and tension spreads, she becomes a quiet observer of the darkness moving through the castle, drawing wary looks much like Harry Potter does. Throughout it all, she grows feelings for Fred Weasley, who protects her and treats her like family, never realising her love is unreturned. When the Chamber finally closes and the victims recover, the danger ends-but Sylvia is left carrying the quiet ache of loving someone who will never see her the same way.
