Moon and Carme disappeared from their old dimension long ago, many years. Nobody could find them, they'd said they'd gone on a mission but... never returned. Moon doesn't remember why they had left even, Carme says that only he knew for sure though. But they did, and now they lead new lives far away from the old ones, as hospital workers. They'd changed their appearances quite a bit, unrecognizable to those who used to know them. Moon and Carme doesn't go by their old names anymore as well, deciding to go off their roles at their new jobs, alike how most of the other workers do too. But one day one of them notices a bit of a repeat. One that causes Carme to finally get in touch with their old companions once again. - AU where Moon from TSBS is Secret Agent from Animal Hospital and Carmine is Intern. I kin both Agent and Moon and I yumeship with both Carme and Intern and that's sort of how I came up with this lol, plus Agent and Intern got no characterization so you technically can't mischaracterize them so them being Moon and Carme can't be that far off from canon! =D

"...Do you need anything else?" Intern asked in panic, their whole body doing a quick shake to calm down. "Or are you just here to tease me further?" They mumbled afterwards, their tail tucked in, as if trying to disappear. A conspiratorial smirk played on Barney's face for a moment, finding clear amusement in the reaction he might have invoked, before he turn his head slightly to the side and took a relaxed sip from the coffee. "Turning me away already? I'm hurt." "What? You want me to give you a bandage for that?" Intern squinted their eyes in mild annoyance, their default smile in tact. They've only ever acted passive-aggressive when it came to this man. The reason for what it might be is shoved deeply in their brain-a concept Intern wasn't ready to examine too closely. "Careful, friend. I might take your offer." He chuckled, an annoying tilt to his head, his mustache following his jest, acting like it's a sentient being. "Are you willing to personally wrap me up?" His voice gone lower, grin sharpened, eyes blinking slowly-flickering back to the scary anomaly eye lights every so often. He didn't even bother to hide that part of himself anymore. Fanfic of this ship because I'm growing too attached to it. If I can summarize... this is basically about how their relationship grows as they interact at the hospital. The new intern was supposed to be just another employee. So why couldn't Secret Agent shake the feeling that something was wrong?

pressured by his employers to break the animal corps secrets whilst maintaining the persona as a dutiful, and responsible Healthcare worker, he is at the brink of his sanity, the only think thats keeping him up is the concerning amount of caffeine ,and, hummiliatingly, chocolates, that he had consumed amidst the chaotic workhour. he is tasked to investigate the rise of the anomaly attack. Without the animal corps notice, there had been an organization built specifically to dig into their classified secrets. the person who founded it? claimed to be a former employee for the animal corps, he preached that the animal corps are made of evils beyond comprehension, that we are just a product to them. His first appearance didnt do well, animals had concluded him to be mentally ill or in a psychosis, the rise of the attack served him justice though since now, hes working for that very organization to expose them. there was a problem, no, a distraction, the intern. during their first encounter, agent could sense that there is something completely off about the new intern, a yellow furred hare. Every time he stares at his face he felt uneasy, there's something uncanny about that hare that he couldn't put his finger on, it distracted him from what hes really after here. his little observation turned into fascination, or is it a feeling that he refuses to acknowledge? what if the hare that he so love and trusted is completely something else? something that is the opposite of him but is there for... paradoxically, the same thing that the agent is there for?. "what are you?."
