Fairies don't exist. There is no whisper of wings in the forest floors, no waking up on cold bitter mornings to find all the chores miraculously done. The myths of the Banshees have been replaced by the the black wet noses of the dogs that drag you to Purgatory. The lost souls that howl in the bogs, is wild winter winds, and nothing more. All the evidence seems to point to the cold hard truths. Fairies don't exist, but what if they did.
What if that light that leads you stray from the path was the lost spirit of a Willow Wisp. The girl who sits beside you in calculus, who counts every tile individually, and never loses count. The girl in ballet who stands out with striking fire, when she floats above the stage or adds one extra twirl into a leap that should send anyone else crashing to the stage. You see it in the boy who never forgets a promise made, and collects on money from bets even you've forgotten. The men and women, who sit behind scarlet desks, enticing customers to buy more and more shares in a product that no one knew they needed. Are these fairies? Or are they average measly mortals, with an uncanny ability for the unknown.
