A humble attempt to better understand Shrutakirti, the youngest of the four Maithili sisters. She is one character from the Ramayana who remained behind the curtains for most of the show. Note: Since so less information is available on her, I will probably be forced to rely only on my imagination for the most part. I hope readers will forgive those deviations from the available texts!

Once a year, every year, a fifteen year old child from each of the seven villages is given away as a sacrifice to the demons in exchange for a bit of food and protection. The demons choose their sacrifice and bring them to the Demon Lands, a dark world full of werewolves, vampires, and many more horrifing creatures. No one knows what happens to the seven, for none ever return. Seeta Occeli is chosen from the Fifth Village, and she is set on escaping. But as she meets the seductive creatures of the Demon Lands, will she really want to?

After Seeta's departure, Rama finds himself in a strange bind with his children- strangers to him in all but name. Dealing with the loss of the one thread that could've connected them, they struggle to find common ground. Note: I will not follow Valmiki's Ramayana exactly for this story, thanks!
