Sono passati due anni da quando Zayd e Crystal hanno deciso di convivere nella nuova casa che lui stesso ha comprato per loro. Le loro vite vanno a gonfie vele, le rispettive attività anche. Crystal ha potuto realizzare il suo sogno di dedicarsi a piante e fiori, mentre Zayn ha aperto un nuovo ristorante che ha un sempre maggior numero di clienti. Yasirah ha sette anni, adesso, e ha legato in maniera incredibile con Crystal. Ogni tanto, la bimba torna a chiederle se può essere la sua mamma, ma la ragazza - che ha compiuto da poco ventisei anni - le risponde con molta sincerità, dicendole che non può essere la sua mamma, ma possono comportarsi lo stesso come se fossero madre e figlia. Crystal non ha mai voluto che la bimba la chiamasse mamma, dopotutto non è sua figlia, ma la sente un po' come tale. Zayd, che ora ha ventotto anni, ammira molto la sua Crystal per come riesce a gestire il lavoro, il rapporto con lui, quello con sua figlia, e ogni tanto gli capita di darsi dell'idiota per non aver permesso a Crystal di entrare molto prima nella loro vita.
