As a normal tidemaker should, she controls water, but not like others. Where they need the source, her water appears out of air moisture, plants, even humans. Being able to take control of someone's body was definitely not a normal thing for Tidemakers, some people often mistook her as a Heartrender, but that was one of many things that set her above the Tidemakers and even Heartrenders. Weeks after the darklings death Alina has become hopeful that he faked his death. She has left everyone she had once believed to love in search for the man she had fallen for and nothing will stop her. Not even death as it's a constant shadow trying to take hold of her with every step she takes. Alina will do anything to find the man she loves no matter what will happen in the end.

Once again, Mal and I fled, we went on to live a new life. Mal and I had built an orphanage in Keramzin and hired a caretaker to help us. Mal still loved Zoya, but he also loved me. He though he was winning me back, everything was going good. That was until one day a certain Prince showed up at our doorstep. Nikolai shocked me by coming to the orphanage after several years. He knew I hadn't been the same since I left Os Alta, but he still loved me. He made an offer to me to come with him to The Wandering Isles for some unattended business. Zoya returned with Nikolai to stay with Mal if I accepted his offer. Mal was furious and ended up arguing with me. This hurt me so i made up my mind, i went with Nikolai. After a long trip it was time to return back home, and Nikolai asked me if I would come back to Os Alta. He offered that Mal could come back also and he could hire servants to watch the children. I shook my head, and agreed to return with him, but Mal needed a normal life. So we stopped and told them what we were doing. Mal was furious once again, but I told him I had to. So I returned with Nikolai. It was all going good until one day something changed. P.S. in this story it was told that Alina disappeared and was still alive. (Told in Alina's POV. Also, make sure to check out some of my other stories!)
