Ten year old Levine lives in a world of silence. Levi is deaf and even though he doesn't really know how to fit in or how to communicate with hearing people he still has to live in his world. He is misunderstood by his parents who seem to hate him more as the days go by. He is beat up by his siblings who couldn't hate him more if they tried. Even at school he can't catch a break. Being the only deaf kid in a school full of hearing people you can imagine how many times he will get beat up. Levi can't think of a day in his life where life was perfect. He remembers it being okay when he only had bullies at school but now having people hurting him at home he wonders if it's all worth it. The pain and the fear he experiences on a daily basis doesn't seem like it is worth it anymore. Will there ever be someone to finally make it worth it?

"I can't do it" I said "Come on baby you have to learn to fight for when I'm not here anymore, I won't be here to protect you" she said I turned to her "Mom this is too much why can't we just go back with dad" "Avianna! shut up and do it" she shouted I turned around and grabbed the gun in my trembling hands remembering everything my mom taught me on how to hold it I did just that. I held it up and aimed it at the target. "Ma I cant do it" I cried to her. Growing up hearing and seeing guns is one thing but to actually use one is a whole other thing She rolled her eyes "Avianna Erika Vega do you want me to go call Alejandro to encourage you?" "n-no! no ill do it" I said and turned back to the target Come on Avianna you can do it, just one little thing. I tried to control my breathing and tame my trembling hands, I aligned the gun to the target...... and I pulled the trigger. After three years, 18-year-old senior Cora Boone is finally free and heading home to Stilllight, her Appalachian hometown with a name whose triple L's trip the tongue and give anyone who reads it a headache. Her record runs a mile long: detentions, suspensions, arrests, and every bad decision that could fit between. But buried somewhere in all that chaos was one person who ever really knew her. While Cora was confined to the Marrowbend Institute for the Teenage Insane, fellow senior Hollis Greer was diagnosed with a rare seizure disorder. The town of Stilllight built a gym, part charity and part hope, after big-city doctors said exercise might steady his nerves and keep his seizures at bay. Nothing unsteadies Hollis like Cora Boone walking back into Stilllight. Every old trigger begins to fire. Except this time, the triggers might fire off something else entirely.

-- 🌙 Main Plot Summary Han Jisung, 19, has spent most of his life between hospital rooms and the quiet comfort of his service dog, Kira. After years of homeschooling due to severe epilepsy, his parents finally decide it's time for him to experience the world - so they enroll him in Felix's college, hoping he can live a normal life. At first, Jisung tries to hide his condition from everyone - even Felix, his childhood friend. But when he meets Lee Minho, the cold, sharp-tongued dance major with a surprisingly soft heart, something begins to change. Minho doesn't believe in love - not after losing too much himself. But Jisung, with his fragile body and unbreakable warmth, slowly cracks open the walls Minho built. Until one afternoon, during a group hangout with all eight friends, Jisung collapses mid-laughter - his first seizure in front of them. From that moment, everything changes. ⚠️ TRIGGER WARNINGS Please read before continuing: This story contains mentions of: Epilepsy and seizure scenes (graphic descriptions) Hospitals and medical emergencies Emotional trauma and anxiety Mild swearing Heavy emotional content (fear, guilt, love, loss) Minor character injuries If any of these topics make you uncomfortable, please proceed with caution or skip chapters as needed. Noah hasn't been the same since the diagnosis. His world, once filled with hope and endless possibilities, has been clouded by the rare neurological disorder that has already taken so much from his family. His older brother, Eli, has been through the worst of it-fighting the pain, the seizures, the uncertainty-and Noah has watched it all, helpless. But he's not Eli. His journey with the disease is just beginning, and he's determined not to let it define him the way it's tried to define his brother. When Noah meets Mia, a girl who knows what it's like to fight for a life that's slipping away, they form a connection neither of them expected. She's a nurse who's seen firsthand the horrors of this disorder, yet there's something about her strength, her passion for life, that makes Noah believe that maybe there's still hope for him. But as the disorder progresses, Noah finds himself at a crossroads. His body is starting to betray him, and the episodes are becoming harder to hide. Mia, who has already faced loss and pain in her life, doesn't want Noah to shoulder this burden alone, but he's not ready to let her in. The fear of losing her, of watching her suffer through the same pain his family has endured, keeps him at arm's length. Noah must make a choice: continue to push people away and fight this battle in isolation, or take the leap and let Mia in, risking the possibility of more heartache-but maybe, just maybe, finding the kind of love that makes it all worth it. Can Noah learn to live with the uncertainty of his future, or will he close himself off and let the disease take away more than just his health? And in the process, can Mia and Noah find a way to navigate their own fragile connection, even when the odds seem stacked against them? The clock is ticking. Time is running out, and the choice he makes will change everything.

My nonfiction book about my traumatic brain injury (TBI) I suffered in a car crash which resulted in epilepsy at a young age. I was a first-year student at college when I started experiencing nocturnal seizures. I had short term memory loss, extreme fatigue, and lacerations on my tongue. I went from being in the top 3% of my high school to not being able to retain any new information. My mom thought I sounded sick after one phone conversation. That lead to a doctor's appointment who thought I was fine until I had a seizure in the parking lot. I was admitted to the ICU because I had clusters of non-stop seizures for two weeks. I don't remember those two weeks. Since then I've had five brain surgeries.
