Autumn Meadows used to live a mediocre life with her little brother and her mother in a big town. They were Six's, but never went without. Everything changed after Autumn's cousin, James, convinced her to join the Selection and she was chosen. Autumn meets Prince William, son of Queen Charlie and King Alex, and doesn't know whether she can keep herself from falling for him. Will the Selection be worth it or will it be a waste of her life?

94 days. 94 Selectees, all aged 18. Selected from each of the six states: Bredge, Plains, Centrapolis, Neyok, Rivera, and Secity; only a third will come out alive. Tessalena is one of the Selectees from Secity, and will arrive at Forfeiture, the giant outdoor enclosure where Selectees are expected to keep themselves alive, in only a few short days. Once there, she teams up with a Bredge boy, Rhino. Will they be able to stay alive, and be naturally selected for? Or will they perish, like the majority of Selectees? It's only inevitable that the Selectees will soon find out the government's secrets... Takes place in the dystopian future.

Astra is a young adult characterized by her vivacity, defiance, and loyalty, traits she inherited from her mother, Lyra. Cosmo, an outsider and council member who has observed Astra since her infancy, selects earthlings based on their primary traits for a one-month to one-year loyalty test. If any selected individual fails to keep the secret, the council will withdraw its protection from Earth against malevolent threats.
