Selective-mute Stories

Steffi doesn't talk. Rhys can't hear. They understand each other perfectly. Love isn't always a lightning strike. Sometimes it's the rumbling roll of thunder... Steffi has been a selective mute for most of her life - she's been silent for so long that she feels completely invisible. But Rhys, the new boy at school, sees her. He's deaf, and her knowledge of basic sign language means that she's assigned to look after him. To Rhys it doesn't matter that Steffi doesn't talk and, as they find ways to communicate, Steffi finds that she does have a voice and that she's falling in love with the one person who makes her feel brave enough to use it. This is me rewriting a story i wrote when I was THIRTEEN. I'm seventeen now and I just reread it for the first time, believe me, I've never felt such utter humiliation. I'm going to add the original description so DON'T JUDGE ME. I'm also going to add the same tags and if this performs worse I might just kms. But without further ado, here's my humiliating OG description from four years ago (I also refuse to fix the spelling): Yoo, this is my second story on here. TW: abuse (tell me if i missed something.) it's a story about a boy who lost this brother. his mother died awhile ago and let's just say his father isn't the nicest person on earth. his brother died (read the story to know how.) talking isn't something he does often, but when he does talk it most likely isn't all that pretty..
