01/25/26 - note: the first volume (WMLA) is currently being proofread: the first 23 chapters will be proofread up to the chapter titled "Oyasumi." 01/25/26 - second note: The second volume (WWBA) is now available. Don't forget to check it out! "Sayori, My Dearest Comet..." ------- Monika thought it was over. She had destroyed her own reality, shattered her world, erased her friends... all to escape a lie that felt too perfect. But now she's back. Aware. Awake. In VM-1 - also known as Doki Doki Literature Club Plus - Monika remembers everything. Every line of corrupted code. Every pain she inflicted. Every illusion of love she once projected onto the only real person she believed existed. She should have been reset. But a glitch brought her back. And this time... something's different. Monika no longer wants to charm. No longer wants to control. She's stuck in a role she doesn't want to play, trapped in a loop of scripted friendship and hollow dialogue. A puppet with self-awareness. So she watches. She stays silent. She smiles-mechanically. But inside, she's fading. Until she looks at her... Finally. And deep within her fractured consciousness, something stirs. Maybe... she still has something left to feel. Maybe... she can still love.

A personal narrative about growing up in the space between adults, learning to carry emotional weight too early, and slowly understanding how those early roles echo into adulthood. Between Their Voices weaves memory with reflective psychoanalysis to explore family, conflict, guilt, and the long process of making sense of what was never named. This is a story of witnessing, surviving, and beginning to unlearn what no child should have had to carry. Between Their Voices is a reflective memoir about growing up inside family conflict-and how the emotional roles we learn as children quietly shape the way we love, attach, and carry responsibility into adulthood. Through a series of intimate memories paired with first-person psychological reflection, the author traces how a child becomes the mediator, the stabiliser, the one who learns to hold tension so others don't have to. The book explores themes of parentification, triangulation, attachment, guilt, and faith-offering language for experiences that often remain unnamed. This is not a story about blame, nor is it a guide to healing. It is an honest account of adaptation-of how a child learns to survive instability by becoming emotionally attuned, careful with words, and overly responsible for peace. Written for those who grew up managing other people's emotions, for those who learned to stay small to keep relationships intact, and for anyone seeking to understand how the past continues to echo through present-day patterns. This is a story about learning to step out of the space between others-and finally take up space of your own. This entire book will probabaly just be an hour 2-hour read. About the Author The author does not identify as a writer, but as someone who needed to tell the truth of her own experience. This book began as a way to process, reflect, and heal. Between Their Voices exists because some stories ask to be written before we feel ready to call ourselves anything at all.

The storming is a collection of poems that follows the theme of a storm. Each chapter or group of poems is correlated with a stage in a storm. Each stage presents with new feelings, challenges and emotions that's all tie together to create a perfect storm. Like a storm, one stage follows the other and builds, and like the poems in this book, each one builds on one another to create a stream of thinking. This book follows my thought process of a year covering every topic from insecurity to love and anger to lust encompassing all of the emotions one goes through on a daily basis. The storming is a behind the scenes look at my raw truth.

Rashmi Ravikumar and I facilitated a Fraternitea session on the Impostor Phenomenon last week; thank you to all those of you who attended and were so generous and vulnerable in your participation. IP is a term that was first coined by psychologists Pauline Clance and Suzanne Imes in a paper they wrote in 1978 describing the internal experience of phoniness, felt by individuals who are highly successful but unable to internalise their success. While it was first postulated as something that impacts high achieving women, there has been a wealth of academic literature over the years which has shown this phenomenon manifesting across genders, ages and professions. The Impostor phenomenon has gotten more attention in the past few years, with a number of famous figures from Sheryl Sandberg to Neil Gaiman (one of my favourite authors) publicly sharing their own experiences. As with any concept that gets mass attention on social media, it may have been interpreted in an overly simplistic manner - it is not the same as low self-esteem; it is not about needing large amounts of external validation. There are three common characteristics that you would resonate with if, at some point in your lives, you have experienced IP.

Synopsis: In a world where the pursuit of financial success seems to be the only priority, a captivating and surprising story emerges that challenges all stereotypes. "Rules of How to Become Poor" narrates the extraordinary journey of Miguel, a man tired of the constraints imposed by wealth and determined to break free from the chains of rampant consumerism. Miguel, a successful executive in a large corporation, feels imprisoned in a superficial and empty world. Despite his accumulated fortune, he realizes that his life has lost its true meaning. Disillusioned with the constant pursuit of more money and power, Miguel decides to make a radical decision: to renounce his wealth and embark on a journey towards poverty. Driven by growing dissatisfaction, Miguel quits his job and gets rid of all his material possessions, choosing to live with only the essentials. He abandons his luxurious mansion and begins to inhabit a small shack on the outskirts of the city. Now, surrounded by financial difficulties and facing an unfamiliar world, Miguel is forced to rethink his priorities and rebuild his life based on new values. In this transformative journey, Miguel encounters unique and unexpected characters who help him see the true essence of human existence. He discovers the value of genuine relationships, solidarity, and love for others. Immersed in the simplicity of life, Miguel rediscovers his own humanity while questioning the social inequalities and power structures that surrounded him. "Rules of How to Become Poor" is a work that challenges preconceived notions about success and happiness, inviting readers to reflect on the importance of finding meaning beyond material possessions. With an engaging and moving narrative, this book prompts us to question our own choices and reevaluate the true purpose of life, whether in abundance or scarcity.
