George had lived his whole life trying to be happy. He fools himself everyday, thinking that when he finally finds his soulmate he will feel everything come to place. But how? He doesn't know his name, or even if they live in the same planet! He only haves what everyone has: a soulsign. God created them so humans could get their faces out of their asses and do something useful in their life, and it has worked so far. George hoped he gave him something more useful, tho. All he received was a vague frase, not even in his own language, written in his wrist. And it hurted him so much. Every look he tooked at that place pained him like a dozen needles. Tiny pinches right through his hearth, lethal. Located in a world were happiness seemed to be given in a golden plate; were soulmates were real, and soulsigns can manifest in different ways. From red string to first words, passing through shared skin, eye colours, and even dreamwalking. It was so easy to find your ideal partner, right? Bullshit. A/N: I hope to upload every two or three days, and sometimes two days in a row. I hope the chapters are around 2k words each, except the first one xd. The first days I'm gonna be more irregular with the uploading tho. I wish to have all the chapters written by the time I publish the 10th chapter or so. We consider infinity the biggest number of all times, we put ourselves a bridge to keep us suffering about which dream will work and which one will not. The strangest of the shadows slipped through reality with the solely purpose of meeting an even stranger boy. At first, everything will remain twisted, the mystery behind the liquid shadow unknown, the future of a child without anyone to be trusted black as the deepest night. With time passing like a slow waltz, dancing around with animosity and love at very specific quantities, the oddest of loves will burst into life.

Ezra, a trans man, was never able to access the medical transition he desired. Years of looking at himself in the mirror with rejection have left him with shattered self-esteem and a constant silence towards the world. When he attends a school reunion, he reconnects with Leo, an outgoing man who used to bully him as a child, but he doesn't understand the depth of his words. Time has changed, Leo now looks at him with a mixture of interest, attraction, and regret. However, he can't believe someone like him could be seen that way, his mind is filled with voices repeating that he'll never be enough. Amidst lingering glances, painful memories, and conversations suspended in the air, the two embark on a slow and contradictory path. Leo insists on breaking down Ezra's walls, while Ezra must confront his deepest wound, his inability to love himself. The romance turns into a rough patch, filled with doubts and half-confessions, but also an unexpected chance for redemption. The question that runs through the story is not only whether they will be able to love each other, but whether Ezra will be able to love himself first, even in a skin he didn't choose.
