In the land of Yashmire, three kingdoms are on the brink of war. The kingdom of humans, Karsh, and the kingdom of orcs, Defasa, each thinks the other stole a magical boot to complete their own set. Only the elves know that whoever holds the boots can find a temple under the River of Demons and unleash unknown horrors within. The elves, and perhaps an upstart human seer named Katrina. Ceriss finds herself in the middle of this turmoil when she meets with the Council of Elves in her kingdom of Frivollia. She wishes to help the humans in the pending fight with orcs, but angry youth Valun thwarts her plan. Ceriss and her right-hand-man Bowen must think of something themselves—maybe they can find Bowen's human friend Lee, who may know how to reach Katrina and alert her that she holds all the cards. Through the point of view of two orcs, two elves, two humans, and many authors, the mighty tale of three wayward kingdoms unfolds.
