I had never thought about it before, and the idea of it scared me, but what else was a girl that people only expected failure from to do? Sergeant John Williams was in charge on my battalion for our twelve week training program. He was rude, mean and extremely attractive. There were times where I thought he didn't like me, but times where I thought the opposite. Coming from a hard life doesn't mean I can't make it better. It just means I have more will to try because if I fail this, I go back to the life that was expected of me.
