Look, there are worse things than being a half-blood.
Like being a maths teacher.
Aside from the whole numbers aspect. Having to watch over kids on a field trip, in which maths isn't particularly an important part of it, must not be fun. Especially if you are a personification of vengeance.
But I suppose things could be even worse than that.
Anyhow I digress. Being a demigod doesn't entail a guaranteed nice life. The chances of having a fate worse than death are significantly higher, especially since you have to worry about things eating you. Plus all the things that you'll run into after death.
What could be worse than death, I hear you ask? I'm not 100% sure since I haven't died yet, but I've heard suffering while dead is pretty bad. Though I'll get back to you on that when I'm suffering in the fields of punishment.
But sure, aside from the chances of premature death, transmutation into a pine tree and being a child of Zeus are considerably higher than they usually would. But what are the chances of all three?
Ah well. I suppose I'd better give you the warning.
If you are reading this and think you are one of us; stop reading this book and continue on with your life, believing everything that your parents have told you, and lead a normal life to the best of your ability.
But, If you are a normal kid believing this to be fiction, you're a star. Keep on reading. It's difficult to believe any of this actually happened anyway.
