This story is about two people getting to know each other. Since this is a spontaneous fantasy I don't have a structured plan for this, I'm sorry that I can't even give you a general outline on how this story is going to develop. If you're open to this thought experiment you're very welcome reading these simple conversations.

This is a sequel to Jane Austen's genius novel of Sense and Sensibility. Ever wondered what happened to Maryanne and her husband Brandon? What about Colonel Brandon's ward? What is to become of Willoughby's child? Read to find out. In Raised Ambitions, we will run into Margaret Dashwood, backstabbing Lucy Steel, and introducing new characters as well. Comment and tell me what you think. Is my attempt sacrilegious? Am I doing the characters justice? Are you having as much fun reading this as it was for me to write it? Vote if you like this. 😀

What if we saw from the perspective of the Anthropologist in Jeff VanderMeer's Annihilation (book, not the movie)? What if there were an added scene between Henry Dashwood's conversation with John Dashwood and Fanny's move-in to show further character development in Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility? What if JK Rowling's Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone were set in Australia? This is a compilation of added scenes or AUs I wrote but have no idea where to put (spoilers of course). Disclaimer: Annihilation belongs to Jeff VanderMeer. Sense and Sensibility is within the public domain; however, I will still note that it originally belonged to Jane Austen. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone belongs to JK Rowling. Photo of a bumblebee by me, Kelsey Foot

tried to actually rhyme consistently in a poem, yippee *sparkles* my friends review was it's giving worker-corporate in a fascinated manner with the sense of trusting one's own judgement being deemed incorrect with the motif of maintaining a supposed logical outlook leading to dead ends feeling like a labyrinth of red tape-- and I think that encompasses it pretty well. college jankness and the future moving forward with a disconnection from goals and decisions

“You have a bright future ahead of you..” The last thing that Hillary heard before bright lights came barreling at her. They weren’t kidding when they said bright, but was a bright future really the right way to describe it? A drunk was all it took to kill, to kill people and to kill someone’s happiness and soul. Hillary was an upbeat girl, smart, beautiful, and a friend to all. One accident changed that… Forced to live with her grandma in California, Hillary kept herself separated from the world. Paralyzed from the waist down, what else was she suppose to do? No one would even dare mess with a handicapped girl, why would they right? Wrong, there is Daniel. Daniel is a misunderstood bad boy, he is handsome, he is strong, and he is broken. Daniel knows what it is like to be treated unfairly because of the way you appear, with that in mind he does all he can to befriend Hillary. Why is it so hard though? To open up to someone who is only trying to help… Simple, the last person who tried to help Hillary ended up killed in the front seat of her car. With the chance of recovery, not only of her heart but her legs, can Hillary find the strength to make her bright future a reality?

Sara Kennedy went from investment broker to love guru almost over night, thanks to her revolutionary re-casting of romantic relationships as another type of personal financing in her self-help book The New Woman's Field Guide to Real Love in Real Life. With her philosophy of 'emotional economics', Sara's Guide is selling fast. But when her beloved step-father, Lord Henry Norland, passes away, Sara returns to England where her newly widowed mother is not coping and her emotionally distant step-brother, complete with pregnant wife, is practically salivating for the ancestral home and title that are now lawfully his. Sara is more than happy to throw herself into her work...What she isn't prepared for is to be thrown into the past, as happens the moment that the rumor mill (aka best friend Charlotte Jenkins-Palmer) announces that Sara's first love Edward Ferrars is divorcing Lucy Steele-Sara's ex best friend and roommate throughout the group's time at 'uni'. Suddenly, Sara's personal and professional lives weren't colliding; Hollywood wants to make a film based on her book and they've sent sexy Scotch-Irish bad boy Will O'Beigh to help convince her he's the actor to do her hard work justice. Cocky and clever, funny and spontaneous, Will knows a thing-or a thousand-about charming a woman, but staid and steady Sara has enough on her plate between pleasing primary clients and attracting new ones; among them the mysterious Mr. Brandon whose good opinion could open an entirely new market and grant Sara's firm the stability it needs. If only Mr. Brandon weren't everything a silver fox millionaire widower shouldn't be- mature, debonair, and more interested in his advisor than her advice. Sara's been responsible her entire life; so it isn't so much a new man she's hunting as a new self? A little wilder, a lot braver...But who will she become? And who will she finally decide she can afford?
