Prologue This novel is surrounding a fifteen-year-old, whose alias is River. They have superior sensory issues. They have to try to make it through high school but now with all the bullying and work it's gonna be a bumpy ride. River is a freshman and a straight-A student until something unexpected occurs that turns things for River and how they look at society now. But then one day they meet a boy called Travis. As a general rule, very few people who do not have autism have any idea how the condition actually affects people. That being said, this is nobody's fault considering the fact that very few people, those affected included, fully understand the condition. However, I would like to explain what aspects of it that I can. This is something that I have wanted to do for a while now and I finally worked up the nerve to do after I was told that, "everyone is a little autistic, just like everyone is a little gay." I feel like the person who said this didn't mean anything bad by it, just that we're all a little different but it jolted me into action and this book was born. I will be making a few posts about certain aspects of the condition myself, but I am also here to answer any questions that people may have.

A research project for school about sensory processing difficulties. It goes over what it's like, what it is, ways to diagnose, how to help someone with it, and more. I chose to research this topic as a way to learn about myself.
