When the world goes silent, and the night presses in, sometimes your own body becomes a storm. He sits in his car, the darkness wrapping around him, the air heavy with stillness. Relief hits him in a sudden wave-Flonase clearing his nose, eyes burning less-but then something unexpected happens: a signal. A hollow, eerie emptiness that spreads through every nerve. Goosebumps rise, chest pounds, his mind races, and the world feels like it has gone... quiet. The car, the night, even his dog beside him can't ground him at first. Music hums faintly, but it's not enough yet. His body insists he move. He rises, paces, laughs, swears, letting the tension release in waves. The spike passes, his nervous system resets, and relief settles in. Laughter breaks through the lingering tension, and he realizes-he survived it. The emptiness, the eerie silence, the sudden spike-it all becomes a testament to his instincts, his resilience, and the way his body finds balance, even when it shocks him. This is a story about instinct, awareness, and the strange, beautiful ways our bodies communicate with us. About the moments when anxiety, relief, and awareness collide in a pulse of energy you can't ignore. About walking through the eeriness, feeling every heartbeat, and finding laughter on the other side. It's about being alive, aware, and alive to yourself in a world that sometimes feels too quiet, too still, too... empty.

After finally understanding the feelings he has for his best friend, Kageyama gathers his courage to ask Hinata out on a day-long trip to Matsushima. He's determined to spend a lovely day with his crush, but as nervous as he is about this date, Kageyama forgot to plan anything other than the journey. He even forgot to mention that it is a date. He's a little overwhelmed by all these feelings, but he's honest, as honest as he can get on a first date. But a first date that isn't even officially a first date and a possible love confession are the least of his worries. It's what comes after which troubles him; it's what he has to say if all of those things go well for him that scares him the most. He just hopes his honesty won't be received with rejection.

Sipping chocolate, feet grounded, each breath becomes a rebellion, a fragment of calm, a claim to exist despite sensory overload.
