Tygon and Lila begin their university placement at Straylight, the same company where Nine works. He is supposed to be overseas on a long-term project, giving Tygon hope that she can avoid him and concentrate on the job. At the end of their first week, project assignments are released. That is when Tygon discovers, in the worst way possible, that Nine has returned early. Worse still, she and Nine are placed on the same project team. Tygon is determined to remain professional, avoid him entirely, and pretend nothing ever happened. But between their tangled past, her growing symptoms, and the secret she is carrying, staying away from him becomes impossible.

This is an experience I had at the mall that I thought i'd write about.

Early morning in a car, tension crawling under skin, throat raw, jaw tight, canker sores flaring, and chaos all around. The dog barks, sheds, stares, and the world feels loud and intrusive. Sipping chocolate, feet grounded, each breath becomes a rebellion, a fragment of calm, a claim to exist despite sensory overload. Anchored in the Morning Storm is a poem about finding peace amid chaos, holding onto small comforts, and resisting the relentless pressures of the world.

This is what sensory overload is like for me. I can't speak for everyone with sensory issues but i decided to write my personal experiences with it. If you want to know more, pm me.

You know those moments that happen when you've finished reading a book that's poignant, or a movie that captures something so strikingly? For once, your mind is organized, and your thoughts are separated from one another as if they're lining up in compartmentalized boxes coated in silky ice. You move, and it feels like you're walking on something, but aren't making contact with the floor. And then after. The aftermath where the ice melts and you're hyper-aware all of a sudden. Your stomach cramps up, and your head is brimming again, filled with chain-links of thoughts swirling, swirling, swirling. Do you know those moments? I'll answer for you. No. No, of course not. But I do. My mind is screwed up; the epitome of chaos. I used to have a normal mind. I used to be innocent. I used to be an ingènue. And then, all of a sudden, I wasn't. [not a sci-fi/fantasy novel]
