At the age of 11, Elfreda's mother and 16 year old brother were all killed as sacrifices for a cult named ‘The Forsaken.’ While Elfreda was left alive to grow into the right age for sacrifice (16+). Instead of letting her go back into the world, the cult burned their insignia into her chest and the crests of a few families that ran the cult around the insignia.
