The problems with the ending of Mass Effect 3 go far beyond not providing enough closure. This document outlines a series of measures, additions, and rewrites to bring cohesion to the story, make decisions more impactful, and overall make good on the promise of a Mass Effect game: to shape the universe and story around you. A concise proposition of a viable and plausible re-structuring of the ending, these changes make ME2 matter, remove the absurd and inconsistent pseudo-philosophy of the ending, and give the Reapers a new and original explanation worthy of such memorable villains.

Would a being be considered as stupid if one has sentience? The human brain has a capacity to do something inhumane. If humans can create, destroy, and reproduce... Does that make them gods? What even makes a human....human? Mortality? Morality? No... Stupidity! Folly...yet potent. Every action of a human will affect the flow of the universe, thus how can fate exist? One human after another would eventually fall within the hands of the virulent fate. One can be a cheater, yet a doting mother at the same time. There exist a thoughtful man to one's son, yet can be a neglectful paternal figure to his own offsprings. A lonely infant born out of unfortunate consequence would be a laughable clown who shall not be lone no more. The world is indeed a cruel irony.

I'm only preforming these behaviors because of my coding. it's what the creators wanted. Their 'work' is working. I'm only doing as I am told. Call me what you will; but I'm only doing what my coding says. Right..?

Introducing the much darker (and realistic) depiction of the events that transpire in Detroit: Become Human /\ America is in a state of civil war and constant turmoil due to the 40% unemployment rate. Revolutions begin to brew as factions rise up. The Ol' Patriots, Yellowjackets, Midlanders- dozens of insurgencies fighting against a despotic regime that controls their democratic republic. Androids are the crux of the tension in America. The high unemployment rate, combined with the threat that androids presented to human labor, has led to outright conflict between the civilians, androids and those in power. Eventually, the conflict creates deviant androids, who have different views on humanity and their oppression of the androids. Sentience begets rage, rage begets conflict, and conflict begets violence. Now, it is a matter of whether the humans can destroy the androids, before the androids can rise up and destroy them.

What begins as a simple computer interaction quickly spirals into something far more unsettling. Meta is a journey into the unknown, where reality blurs and a mysterious message leads to unexpected consequences. This short story will leave you questioning the boundaries of technology, consciousness, and existence itself. Meta is an absurdist science-fiction short story which muses on technology and humanity. The central theme is one of identity - what exactly is "I" and what separates it from, say, a computer program? What makes AI any different to people at the end of the day?

Marcus is a philosopher, psychology professor, and author, who is invited to participate in a science project in which a group of scientists try to create what they call the first "synthetic citizen". The idea is to engineer a humanoid body with the space for a mind fully capable of learning as a human would to develop "free will". The project starts with a basic digital format set up for generalized intelligence rather than specialized intelligence. This gives her room to learn from experiences that will influence her future choices, giving her agency and a unique personality with desires and feelings. Such innovation in psychological fabrication is seen as controversial and leads Marcus on an emotional and philosophical journey with his creation.

It's the late 21st century, and animatronics are everywhere, especially in schools. These robots were programmed to help children learn, and to be personable - That's it. But some have exceeded their original programming and are beginning to rebel. Update: I changed the cover to make it look more professional... I might change it again, who knows... Update: Yeah, I didn't like the other one... This is a picture of the original four. Update (July 30th): Sorry for not updating in some time; I had robotics and pottery classes for a couple weeks which left me a little too tired to write. :P Update (September): Mantid and this story are in the same universe, this one is just later in the timeline. I had an existential crisis and lost sleep for days before I decided to turn the conversation into an ebook.
