However, no one was prepared for them to actually become alive, least of all Rock. When Sari Sumdac walked into her father's office on Tuesday, May 11, 20XX, she was expecting him to be passed out, or otherwise struggling against the needs of his body, such as food and rest. What she did not expect to find was her father frantically scurrying about the lab, trying to organize his projects. This immediately set off sirens in Sari's head. Her father was never organized for anything. "Um . . . Dad? Are you okay?" Isaac Sumdac practically ran up to his daughter. "It's my old friend," he said beaming, "Dr. Thomas Light is headed to Detroit!"

He reconstructs her body using Cybertronian parts and human technology, creating a fully synthetic and functional structure. To protect her, Sumdac registers Garnet as an experimental prototype: G-RNT, supposedly created to be an "older sister" to Sari. Thus begins Garnet's life in this new world. Now with a robotic appearance, she joins the team of the Autobot leader Optimus Prime. But Garnet's presence attracts unwanted attention. The Decepticons begin to suspect her origins. Now, Garnet faces a dilemma: remain in this world where she has found a new family and purpose, or try to return to the universe where Steven and the other Gems are still waiting for her? 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 - None of the characters belong to me! This book focuses on both canon and non-canon events!

Previously in "In the beginning" the Commander and Agent were lost in the battle. Now that they are at rest and the Autobots won the war. Cybertron is slowly being restored after Optimus sacrifice himself to the allspark. Wheeljack takes responsibility of leadership from Ultra Magnus. The Wrecker meets Ultra Magnus and Nightstar in the process. It's up Wheeljack to keep Cybertron's future safe.
