Master Battle Sergeant Majie Hollis attached himself to the huge hull of the Yamarri flagship, Roosloota, translated in Yamarrese as Human Killer, while at the same time signaling the remnants of the Nova Company to gather around him as he breeched the ship's hull with his BBR (Blazer Bolt Rifle). KABOOM! The Roosloota rocked back and forth while Hollis held on for dear life as debris blew past him just inches from crashing into his space suit. Hollis knew he had primed the power selector too high on his rifle and he knew he was too close to the blast point, but he wanted to make sure to create a large enough hole in the ship's ruptured hull.

I wrote this story in response to my soldiers. When I told them I was leaving the army to become a teacher, they laughed. "Imagine SSG T., a teacher. Ha!" "He'll be screaming at kids and making them push." "You could scare the shit out of them by giving them a thousand-yard stare and putting on camo." It became a joke about what kind of teacher I would be, after having been an infantry squad leader. Ghost would push Soap to his limits in every way possible, until one day, soap broke, and it was up to Ghost to fix it. Ghost would have to mend the heart of the man he loved, the man he tried to push away because he was scared of losing him, the man he would turn the world upside down for, his Soap...his Johnny. Soap would have to come to terms either push away the sparking crush he had gotten on Ghost or learn to forgive if he could. Soap loved Ghost, but it would take all it could for him not to hold a grudge against Ghost. maybe their will be love found in blood.

After accidentally stumbling across an ancient microorganism frozen in Antarctic ice cores, two college students on a class trip find themselves wrapped up in a chain of horrifying, world changing events. The budding scientists are, at first, excited for the possibility of recognition within the scientific community. Their hopeful speculation quickly evaporates, morphing into a terrifying episode, resulting in what can best be described as zombies. Events rapidly turn unfavorable once the survivors reach the mainland, unknowingly spreading the plague, trying to reach their home. Soon after arriving, the college is quickly quarantined by the military, and is tasked with developing a cure as the world devolves around them.
