She gained similar powers to Sergei while she and her siblings were at Hydra testing. Sergei now irrevocably in love with Anastasia does everything he can to protect her when Dimitri is kidnapped and he receives a note saying "the Lioness is next". When Sergei finds out that his father Nikolai was behind it he gets even more pissed off.
